I was born in Shanghai, moved to Hong Kong when I was 2 and came to New York when I was nearly 5 and then to Jersey City. I study Mandarin language and am very interested in Asian culture. I love manga and anime. My favorite series is My Hero Academia.
I am half English and spend time in the summer with my family outside London.
I attended Hoboken Junior Police Academy for the past two years and am fascinated with forensic science. I hope to study environmental sciences and along with forensics, research some very interesting topics in hopes of helping to repair damage to the planet.
I have always loved riding bikes, skateboards and scooters. I ride my bike to school every day.
Before the Hudson School, I attended the Mustard Seed School from kindergarten to 4th grade in Hoboken.
Now, about high school….
I think that I would be a great asset to any school because I am a hard worker, have sincere integrity as a student and am very determined to contribute positively to help our world. I am eager to learn the sciences and find solutions for pollution and climate change. Ever since I was young I was aware of pollution and its problems. In fact, I was born in Shanghai, one of the most polluted cities in the world. As a young child, I suffered respiratory problems due to the air quality as many kids did living there. The water was also unsafe for drinking and it affected everyone’s quality of life. I grew up painfully aware of the degradation of the earth and I have always known I want to help repair the environmental damage made by man. I recently took part in the Climate Strike protest in New York City and was so inspired by other young people who share my passion to help bring environmental justice to our planet. I’m proud of my young generation, I really believe that my fellow students and I have the ability to bring change and innovation to our world. I am optimistic for the future, excited to acquire more knowledge and I have great passion for learning that I bring to the classroom. I look forward to working with my teachers and peers to examine the scientific world and find positive ways to contribute to our community. Overall, I believe that as a high school student I will learn how to achieve my goals and become a leader for my generation, a fine scholar and a beneficial member of society.
